Brandon & Ashley, what can I say…your wedding was drop dead gorgeous and I loved being part of capturing every detail of it! From the stunning ceremony at The Pena Peck House in St. Augustine to the way everyone danced the night away during your reception at The White Room to the tunes of McGee Entertainment.
It was a day full of romance and an evening full of magic and fun!
Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

How did he pop the question? at Trevi Fountain in Rome,Italy on the last day of our 12 day vacation. I was not cute by any means hair in a bun, glasses, oversized sweater, jeans and sandals… that paints a pretty picture right? I was taking pictures of the fountain and when I turned around to ask Brandon something he was down on one knee holding my ring… my exact response was “ Are you shitting me, is this joke…yes of course!! Babe you couldn’t of asked me when I was pretty lol and he just laughed at me. Was the best vacation ever!!
How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding design? We love all things vintage and classic. I knew I wanted soft and romantic with a shabby chic/vintage feel. Which is why I loved the idea of having church pews as our seating for the wedding ceremony and then i found the palette wall and thought that would make a great altar piece and it all just came together beautiful… seriously better than I could have imagined.
What was the best moment{s} of your wedding day? Our first look…I loved seeing how emotional Brandon got when he saw me for the first time… If you know Brandon this does not happen very often so I was very touched by his reaction it was everything I wanted to happen and more. My second favorite moment was seeing my dad, he is my world… and he is your true southern daddy, when it comes to his lil girl he doesn’t mess around. Also he is not one to cry, in fact I have never seen him cry not even when his mom “Mimi” passed away… but when he saw me and knew it was time to give me away he broke down and that was a very touching and emotional experience for me.
How would you describe your overall wedding experienece? Leading up to the wedding was very stressful…but the day of was very calm and smooth and I can honestly all the stress, worries, late nights and tears was all worth it!!
What photography related advice would you offer to a couple? Do a first look and take as many formal shots as you can before hand, that way you can join your guest for cocktail hour and do all your hellos and thank you for coming then, that way you can actually eat your dinner that you paid $112 for lol
Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one? AHHH my dress well its actually my second dress because the first dress that I fell in love with came in and was the wrong size and not the dress I tried on and by that point it was to late to order a new one, so I had to go and find a new one of the rack that would fit… now that doesn’t seem too hard right? well it is if you have a large bust 🙂 But in the end I found one and turned out I liked it better than the first! Everything happens for a reason right?
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?Working with you was easy breezy and a delight….You made everything run on time without being bossy or making us feel rushed and we just loved your personality!!
Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not! We did a first look and I would do it the same exact way if I had to redo it again…it just gave us a moment to take each other in and be there in that moment. Also helps calms the nerves, plus you get real raw emotions which I think make for beautiful pictures.
Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos?Just relax and have fun… and maybe a glass or two of mine doesn’t hurt.
What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome? I was most nervous about falling as I was walking out lol but I didnt thank GOD!!! and the weather which actually turned out to be amazing!!!
Any tips on what to bring? Touch up for lips and blotting papers for your face.
What do you want to always remember from your wedding day?The love I felt that day from everyone, but more importantly the way Brandon looked at me.
“IF I only I knew!” what is one piece of advise you would give to brides planning their wedding day? Just buy your dress from the store!!! Do not try and find it elsewhere for a cheaper price!!! You might end up like me and have to find a whole new dress 2 months before your wedding.
What kind of food was served at your reception? Prime Rid, Bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta , chicken florentine style with a white cream wine sauce, vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes with a bimini salad.
What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife? Father-daughter dance? Mother-son dance? Our song: Thinking out Loud Dad and Me: Dancing with Cinderella
Mother son: Your are my hero clean deon My mom and daughter ( with all my sisters n brother) Mama by Carrie underwood
