Chantelle + Keith :: Hammock Beach Conservatory Wedding Photography
There are some couples when you meet them, they take you totally by surprise. When I first met Chantelle and Keith, I was so excited about their wedding, because it was small and intimate, and Chantelle was so sure of exactly what she wanted- I just love that. But, in all honesty, I thought they might be a tad shy, quiet. I was SO WRONG! I had more fun with these two, and the ideas they had! I still giggle when I go through their funny face pictures. These two have more Fabulousness in their little pinky’s then most people have all over! But even more than that, was watching these two tear up during the vows, Chantelle wiping the tear from Keith’s face as they were serenaded. Its those little moments, moments they may not even remember that make this couple so completely awesome!
I hope you two had as much fun getting married, as we had taking your pictures. From funny faces, to crazy places {and a little wind thrown in for good measure} you day was utterly amazing! Thank you for letting us be a part of the beginning of your love story!
We met at West Chester University. I was captain of the women’s tennis team and Keith was my strength and conditioning coach.
Keith proposed at my brother’s house the day after our 4 year anniversary. He hid the ring box under the Christmas tree. He wore three shirts layered under a hoodie. When I saw the ring box he unzipped the hoodie and the first shirt read “I didn’t find it in my shoe, but I found you the perfect shiny rock”. Once I realized what was happening I was laughing and crying at the same time. He pulled off the first shirt and revealed a second one that read “open it”. Due to my excitement I forgot to even open the box–good thing he gave me prompts! I open the box and was so amazed at the gorgeous ring he had selected. He took off the second shirt to reveal the final message which read “please say yes”. It was adorable and totally unexpected! He is the best.
We wanted to have a small intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. We wanted it to be elegant and fun. We incorporated the flowers that he usually buys me for my birthday/anniversary: orchids. Neither of us wanted a theme–other than I love sparkles so we added that to the invites, paper products, bouquets, welcome bags and sparkler exit.
The best part of the day was being with our families and sharing our love with them. My brother surprised me from Afghanistan–a total shock. Having the people who were there from the start was really special and important to us. We really enjoyed dancing and celebrating with all if our loved ones.
We want to remember the moments of the ceremony where we shared our love for each other, the feeling of excitement for our future, and the overall joy of the day.
Advice for other brides/grooms:
Remember that you are not alone in the planning process. Your friends and families are just as excited as you and are usually willing to help with the details. Don’t get down if changes have to be made to little things like flowers or cake–in the end they are not the most important thing. Enjoy the process, because you only get one shot if your lucky!
We will be honeymooning in the Mediterranean, doing a little country hopping.
