I love a good monogram- I mean, seriously, just peak in my kids swim bags- everything has their name or initials. I mean, what Southern girl worth her weight in grits does not love a good monogram! But I think I found someone who loves them even more than me- my amazingly fabulous Southern Belle, Chyna. And that was just one of the many features of her fabulous soiree! From the chandelier in the old oak tree, to the black and white striped linens {Is this girl after my heart or what?!?!} . We had a fabulous Saturday watching her and Jake tie the knot- and its obvious they are pretty smitten with each other too. Boy do I love a couple in love…

And yes, this hilaroius pic was their idea- I love a bridal party with a serious sense of humor!
And now from Chyna
How did you two meet? We worked together in a restaurant while we were in undergrad; he worked in the kitchen as a grill cook, and I was a hostess
How did he propose? The day before my graduation from law school we were in our apartment and Jake asked me to try on my cap and gown. I went to find my cap that he hid from me and when I pulled it down from the bookshelf he decorated my cap to say “Will you Marry Me.” He got down on one knee, I said yes, and you know the rest. It was extra special because both of our families were coming town for my graduation so we were able to celebrate our engagement also that weekend with our families.
How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding design? I wanted a big southern affair so everything from the food to the monogram hanging over the fireplace stemmed from that.
What was the best part of your wedding day? Saying our vows and the shrimp and grits!
What do you want to always remember from your wedding day? The vows we recited and the love and support of our families.
“IF I only I knew!” what is one piece of advise you would give to brides planning their wedding day? Enjoy planning the little details. Although tedious they will be the things your guest will remember and appreciate the most.
And where are you going on your honeymoon? A cruise to the Bahamas
