I first met with Logans mom in the winter of last year, and I knew as soon as I chatted with her, that I would love this couple and this family. They were a referral from one of my all time favorite couples from Gainesville, and I knew that it was going to be one fun soiree! Originally Kaitlin and Logan had planned to get married in Florida, but one trip to the vineyard and they were hooked. And, well, I cant blame them. I drove up on the friday of the wedding weekend, and I was awed. Of course, being from “flat land” Florida, and going into the mountains, is enough to make one “ooh and ahh”. I felt like I had been transported to Italy, it was breathtaking.
Kaitlin and Logan invited me to attend the rehearsal dinner, and I immediately felt like family. From the Aunts, Uncles, and dear friends who took me under their wing, and the Clark family who filled me in on all the crazy things their daughters did growing up, I felt like I was a part of their wedding day. I cant tell you how much it means to be a vendor, and feel like part of the family. Internet world, if there is one thing I can tell you about you wedding day, it goes by so quickly. Surround yourself with people who make you feel at ease. Spending the additional time with the family made Saturday even more special for me.
The wedding day was perfect, majestic, magical. From the mist over the vineyards, to the elation when these two shared their first look, everything was perfect. I know it was a long road, planning out of town, but the coordination was perfection. Kaitlin and Logan, you two are an amazing team. The road ahead may be crazy, and winding, but knowing you two, you will navigate it beautifully. Enjoy this first year!

Kait wore her mothers wedding gown to the rehearsal dinner, she had it shortened and made into a little dress- it was perfect!
kaitlin and Logan did a first look beside the wine cellar- lucky for us, beacuse it sprinlked most of the day! I just love when a couple sees each other for the first time, the excitement is palpable!
How did you two meet?
We first met at a mutual friends house where we were having a pumpkin carving contest. Logan was one of the judges for the pumpkin carvings. This was the start of many nights we both secretly hoped to be invited to our friend’s house on the same evening. We remained friends for a couple years and ironically decided to make it official after Logan went to North Carolina to finish his undergraduate degree at Appalachian State. I guess you could say “the rest is history.”
How did he propose?
After getting her father’s blessing and her mother’s ring I spent multiple months designing the perfect ring for my future wife. After everything was completed it came time to pop the question. She had an idea that it was going to happen in the near future so I knew I needed to do something to catch her off guard. I set up an evening at a nice restaurant while taking Bella out for a walk one evening. The next day I got home before her and had two glasses of wine ready when she walked in the door. She may have been slightly suspicious at this point because she even asked why I was using the “nice glasses.” We were getting ready to head out and she asked, “Why are you wearing a sports coat? It’s a nice restaurant but I don’t think you need it.” Little did she know the reason for my coat was to hide the box from being obvious. We arrived at the restaurant and as we were being seated she clearly grabbed the side of the table I had my eye on. Knowing that Kait loves tomato mozzarella I knew we would get it as an appetizer. Prior to our evening I arranged it with the restaurant that when the waitress brought out our appetizer they would also bring a plate of chocolate cover strawberries with “Will you marry me?” written in chocolate around the rim. As I saw the waitress coming my heart was about to beat out of my chest. I needed to get out of the booth so when the waitress set down the plate I could propose. I quickly told Kait I was going to the restroom so that I had a reason to get up. As the plate was set down I turned around to our booth, got down on one knee and the question I had been waiting so long to ask.
How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding design?
Kait’s Answer : We weren;t interested in anything over the top and flashy. The venue was beautiful itself and we wanted to really bring the outdoors of the beautiful vineyard vine inside, so we stuck to a natural type look – with greens, white and champagne as our “colors.” WE wanted it the have an elegant but somewhat relaxed and natural feel too.
What was the best part of your wedding day?
Kaitlin: I think the best nights sleep I have ever gotten was the night after our wedding. I was so happy to officially call Logan my Husband, the planning was behind us and we had no major hick-ups. I felt as if everything was right in the world (at least my world) and made the best decision of my life. It was this moment of peace and gratefulness.
What do you want to always remember from your wedding day?
Kaitlin: How helpful and patient Logan was throughout the entire process and how great a team we make.
“IF I only I knew!” what is one piece of advise you would give to brides planning their wedding day?
Kaitlin: Everyone really says how quickly it goes by, and it really does. Even if you prepare yourself for that. Try to really be present in every moment and take it all in to the best of your ability
And where are you going on your honeymoon?
Went to St.Lucia (La Toc Sandals resort)
