I first met Lindsey and Nick last year at Starbucks on an early Saturday morning. I was pretty sure by the time I left, Lindsey was my new BFF. But after shooting their wedding in St Augustine, I have learned that that is the amazing thing about Lindsey. Her smile, her laughter, her spirit, are all contagious- you have to love her, because her joy is so contagious! And her and Nick together, well they are the quintessential “perfect match”. Where he is the strong silent type, she is the boisterous personality, when she is unsure and hesitant, he is strong and supportive. I saw it all on their wedding day, and its one of those weddings, when they say their vows, you can feel every last bit of emotion in them. Lindsey and Nick completed a double header wedding weekend, and if you have ever shot two weddings in one weekend, you know this is the truth: You are BEAT UP! But, with Lindsey and Nick, and their friends and family, I could not have had more fun. From the fabulous seafood bar at The White room, to the incredible show put on by The Rivertown Band, it was perfect from start to finish!
Lindsey and Nick, I am devastated by the void in my life, now that your wedding day is over. You two are the sweetest, most wonderful couple- I adore you both! I can only hope you have some beautiful babies soon, so I will have lots of excuses to see you. I cant thank you enough for allowing me to be part of your wedding day, for including me in your festivities, and for making me feel like a part of your family. I know that the two of you have so much amazingness ahead of you, enjoy the trip! Love you guys! Thank you again for allowing me to tell your love story!

How did you two meet?
On the the 4th of July in 2009 at a mutual friends BBQ & pool party.
How did he pop the question?
At sunset on top of Ken’s Rock in lake lure, NC (where dirty dancing was filmed ). 🙂
How did you choose your theme?
Being from the south, we wanted the day to give off a romantic southern feel in the air. Lots of candle light and lace!
How did you choose your flowers?
Soft colors with pops of spring time flowers: blush peonies peach ranunculus and light green hydrangeas. All my favorites. All I ever wanted for our wedding was to have it in April in the spring. It’s such a meaningful and beautiful time of year!
What was the best moment(s) of your wedding day?
Seeing Nick’s face for the first time as those big doors opened and I glided down the aisle towards him. I’ve never seen his smile SO big! He was just glowing! Also, our first dance. We took dance classes with a local ballroom instructor whom choreographed a 3 1/2 minute dance to our song Michael Buble, Crazy love. Six private classes later & hours spent at home practicing he may not have been Fred Astaire but that night it felt perfect!
What photography related advice would you offer to a couple?
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
We love to hear about vendors you love. List any vendors here and feel free to share your experience. Be sure to include the name of the vendor, their profession, city/state, site or Facebook page and how your experience was!
