How did you two meet? We met in Jan. 2010 at an Equality Florida Gainesville Membership mixer. Mallory was the guest speaker and Garrett was the campaign manager for Craig Lowe for Mayor.

How did he propose? He took me to Lake Eola in Orlando, my favorite place in Florida. It was New Years Eve and a group of our friends were with us. When we got to the lake our friends ran off in different directions. Garrett got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

How did you choose your theme? Flowers? and overall wedding
design? We wanted to do something that reflected our southern heritage and at the same time not take ourselves too seriously.

What was the best part of your wedding day? The best part of the day was getting to marry my best friend in front of our closest friends and family.

What do you want to always remember from your wedding day? That so many people took the time out to come to our wedding and celebrate with us.

“IF I only I knew!” what is one piece of advise
you would give to brides planning their wedding day? Make it clear to family and wedding party that the bride and groom are calling the shots. Making it known ahead of time that we were going to do the wedding exactly how we wanted to do it, helped relieve a lot of stress about trying to please other people.

And where are you going on your honeymoon? For our honeymoon we went to Paris, France and Florence, Italy.
