Mary and Philip tied the knot after the Holidays at the Lodge in Ponte Vedra Beach, with their stunning beach views, and their amazing Christmas Tree, it was the perfect backdrop. The couple had the perfect wedding, a small intimate ceremony, and dinner, the perfect match to the two of them! Tiffany at Liz Stewart did an amazing job, the florals were divine, especially Mary’s all white Peony bouquet. I still don’t know how they managed to get those Peonies in December! Mary and Phillip, danced, ate, and laughed with their dearest family and friends, but my favorite part was the first look with the couple. They each had surprises for each other, and neither knew- but they were both perfect gifts, and watching them see each other for the first time, share that first kiss, and then their fabulous swag was, well…Perfect!
Mary and Phillip- you two are made for each other, his ying to her yang. If your wedding day is any indication, you two will have some serious fun together. I hope that your lives are filled with more love and joy than you two can handle! Congratulations!

How did you meet?
We met in college through one of our mutual friends. Philip sat down next to me on the couch, asked to borrow my computer and started going through my music collection. After a few seconds he looked at me and said, “You’ve got Jimmy Buffett on here? I like you!” We were friends for 11 months after that, started dating in November 2007- and have been together ever since.
How did he propose?
The morning of our engagement I woke up to a note he had written just to say “I love you” and Starbucks on my bedside table. That afternoon he brought home roses home on his lunch break. When he left to go back to work after lunch I just knew it was going to happen! That evening when he got home from work he tied a sign around our dog’s neck that said “Will you marry us?” Little did he know that Finn (our dog) had no interest in participating- Philip couldn’t get him to come in the room and when he finally did the sign came off! At that point he laughed it off, got down on one knee, and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! It was the second (to the wedding) best day of my life!
How did you choose your theme & overall design for your wedding?
We wanted something very simple, small, and romantic. As far as the flowers go, I’ve known I wanted to carry peonies ever since Philip got them for me for my birthday 3 years ago. They were perfect.
What was the best part of your wedding day?
Philip – Seeing her walk down the isle to me.
Mary Morgan- Seeing Philip cry when I got down the isle to him. In the six years we had been together I had never see him even tear up.
What is one piece of advice you would give to others planning their wedding?
Try to take everything in! It goes by so fast- I wish I could remember every single detail of the entire day (Thanks to Kelly I’ll be able to remember most of it forever).
Where are you going on your honeymoon?
We are going on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean.
