I always love photographing weddings. There’s so much love in the air and the bride and groom spend so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Melissa & Shaun’s wedding, either!
The wedding and reception were at The Old City House in Historic downtown Saint Augustine. They danced to their first song, Lovesong by the Cure, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Congrats you two, I loved being a part of your special day.

How did you choose your theme, flowers, and overall wedding design? We wanted something that was simple and warm so we decided on choosing the B&B because of its charm and lovely courtyard. We felt that overall cozy feel of the venue really aligned with our focus on friends and family. What was the best moment{s} of your wedding day?Definitely the ceremony. Seeing everyone come together is something neither one of us will forget. How would you describe your overall wedding experience?I think when you have good people everything can go smoothly. We are very lucky to have found awesome vendors for photography, flowers, and the venue. Not to mention everyone involved in the wedding party really pulled it all together. Shaun and I both agree we had a stress-free day filled with smiles!Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?Alfred Angelo – I originally was leaning towards lace, however, something about this just pulled me.How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?Fantastic! You definitely made us comfortable on what could have been a stressful day. We couldn’t have been happier!Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not!Shaun (liking anything to do with a good surprise) decided last minute he would like to wait until the ceremony to see me. So as a compromise we decided that I could have a sneak peak while he was blindfolded, which ended up absolutely lovely. I felt it was wonderful to have a moment to connect with him before the ceremony while at the same time not taking away from the surprise. What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?I think we were excited. With the intimate group we had for the wedding, we were really looking forward to spending time with everyone. Good food, good music and good people! What do you want to always remember from your wedding day?It may be cheesy, but really, the sense of genuine happiness from everyone. We really felt that during speeches and how much love filled the room in those moments. Just simple and authentic. What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife? Father-daughter dance? Mother-son dance?First Song – Lovesong, The CureFather-daughter/Mother-son dances – Landslide, Fleetwood Mac And where are you going on your honeymoon?Caribbean Cruise!
Thank you! The pictures are amazingly beautiful! Gorgeous bride and groom! Love, love, love! Everything was perfect and great!!!
