family last year for a 50th birthday- and from the moment I met them, I just adored them! While shooting, I learned that one of the sons had just proposed to his girlfriend, so I shot a few pictures of them newly engaged. I had not yet added weddings to my lineup, so I did not think about the wedding, or being the photographer. Well, a few weeks later, I was contacted by them to see if they knew of a wedding photographer- and by then, I had decided I wanted to do them! So, they signed the contract for the next year. In that year, I have photographed a few times for this family, and like them even more now then when I met them! They are truly some of the most wonderful, and sincere people I have met! It was such an honor to shoot the wedding for this wonderful family.

During the reception, the families showed a slideshow about the bridegroom {now, you guys KNOW I teared up too}. It was so wonderful to watch these two people grow into adults, and also see their love for each other blossom. They truly are ying and yang! But together, they show so much undeniable affection and support for each other. I can only imagine the wonderful ride these two just embarked on!

The wedding, held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach was wonderful. And before we started, Amber & Jon shared a moment together, for a first look. Now, I always tell my brides how wonderful this moment is- but I think these two show it better. You can see the utter love on his face, and as they embraced for their first kiss, I think the two of them felt all those wonderful emotions! Even better, Amber relaxed so much after she saw him, and I think they both enjoyed the service and their wedding so much more. I mean, seriously, how cute is Jon’s face when he sees his bride??

The cake was by Publix and was SO YUMMY! The flowers, yummy in their own right, were done by Shea Hopely, and matched the bride and groom perfectly! The reception was at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club, with music by a band who even let Jon play some blue’s- thats right, her groom played music for her at the wedding. Ok, girls, stop swooning!

Amber & Jon, thank you for allowing myslef and Caitlin to be part of your special day- you two are truly blessed. I know that your wedding day is just the beginning of your amazingly perfect love story! Congratulations!

How wonderful is this moment??
